Growing up in a household where her father was a general contractor and her mother an aspiring interior designer, Kim Powell learned early on exactly what it takes to build a strong foundation and a happy home. As a young adult, she worked as a leasing agent for more than ten years, gaining experience in subsidized housing, senior housing, and also student housing at both the University of Michigan and Eastern Michigan University. 

In addition to her experience in real estate and property management, Kim is also a former high school cheerleader and cheerleading coach.  Kim’s bubbly personality and open disposition often precede her and assist in creating trustworthy, lasting relationships with each of her clients.  Kim’s success in the real estate industry stems from her extensive knowledge of home construction and design and also her warmhearted understanding of clients’ diverse circumstances and needs.

Currently, the most recent addition to Real Estate One’s award-winning Tina Peterson Team, Kim touts her new position as a dream come true.  She could not be more excited to combine her lifelong passion for real estate with her dedication to helping clients find their forever homes.  Kim quickly and effortlessly adopted the Tina Peterson Team’s motto of providing the best possible service with experience, integrity, and honesty.  As the Tina Peterson Team closes hundreds of properties annually and is now within the top one percent of real estate agents nationwide, Kim is in outstanding professional company.

In her free time, Kim enjoys spending time with her family, whom she is very close with.  She also enjoys cooking and outdoor activities such as swimming, camping, kayaking, and hiking.  Additionally, Kim is a huge sports fan and enjoys rooting for Detroit’s home teams (Go Lions and Tigers!).
